Just went to a bridal show in NYC the other night. I have gone before, and have no idea why I keep going. They give you a bag to keep your paperwork, yet some women seem to think it okay to bring HUGE purses to an extremely crowded event, and also to stand there and text on their phones in the middle of the aisle. I don’t get how you can find your vendors at these things, since it is nearly impossible to talk. I did find a lovely baker I may use, and an invitation vendor, but that was early in the show before the rush. And then, the vendors! David’s Bridal is right in front of the doors, so it’s impossible to get past them. And Men’s Wearhouse is pushy as well, even though my fiance told them he has his suit and doesn’t need more. And the last vendor at the end was Mary Kay cosmetics. This woman was so pushy, and it was like she was blocking people from leaving if you didn’t book a party with her. Yes, some vendors are great, like Sandals, and Sargento cheese, and some of the goodies we received were great, like free photo booth pictures, notepads and pens, cake samples and free cheese, but, all in all, it just doesn’t seem worth it.
How has the bridal show experience been for anyone else? Good or bad? If I go again, it may be a smaller show.
