(Closed) Bridal Store where I ordered my Dress has CLOSED! NO email to let me know!

So sorry you are going through this.  If this happened suddenly and the phone is disconnected I don’t think she would answer the store emails either.  If you don’t get a response from her within a few days about a refund/still getting the dress you may have to get the police involved to get ahold of her, not sure how successful that will be.

If she refunds your money, or worse you never hear from her again, you could try contacting the designer of the dress directly.  I know there have been stories on here of other Bees contacting the designer directly for other situations and it working out.  If you explain what happened they may work with you in getting the dress.

Good luck!  I know this situation sucks but hopefully it will work out in the end

@blushbliss:  this is my worst wedding nightmare!!! I really hope you are able to get your deposit back with no issues!!!! And I hope you are able to find another dress soon. By the looks of your wedding date, it seems like you’ll be okay, which should help reduce your stress level!! Good luck! Keep us posted!!!

I would go straight to the designer now – if she’s already put the order in then presumably they are processing it and your dress does exist somewhere. It’s worth contacting them with the situation, you might be able to deal directly with them.

Did you pay the deposit by credit card? If so, you might be able to get that money back from the credit card company! I was at a bridal boutique in Liverpool and I heard the same story – it was actually a store I’d booked an appointment at, but had discovered that morning had closed down.

While I was at another store that managed to squeeze me in, there was a girl there who was trying to find her dress – and fortunately had managed to get her money back because she’d paid using her credit card and it was within a certain time limit.

I agree with PPs–contact the designer now, and if you don’t hear back from her by the end of the week, call the police!

@blushbliss:  Generally, you can dispute a credit card charge up to a few months after you were due to receive the dress. You should be ok.
