@allinoelle:  the strange thing is, i’ve never been to a wedding where the couple walked in to their own separate music. at least at all the weddings i’ve been to the bridal party and the couple walk in to the same music. and i’ve never seen a choreographed dance in person. they usually just dance in in couples (sometimes planned sometimes not) and line up, then they announce the bride and groom who also dance in. the end.

@allinoelle:  Some people like to do that… I think it is a bit silly, because isn’t the grand entrance truly during the ceremony? That is when everyone sees you for the 1st time, and then when you walk down the aisle together after being married.

I think being reintroduced during the reception is fine, but really should not be made a spectacle. Music and a announce is definitely more typical.

@allinoelle:  I notice that it’s like that on almost all of the episodes now.  That just isn’t “us” so we had the DJ announce us and we simply walked into the room smiling and went right into our first dance.  It was perfect for us.

I agree with the sentiments of most people here.  You have to remember too that Four Weddings is a TV show that these couples know they will be on for a while.  They’re trying to win a competition so I think they do things/spend more money, etc. willy nilly just to try and increase their chances of winning. Plus, they actually want to be entertaining for the show also.  I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

We are going to do something normal because as some have already said, the “grand entrace” is truthfully at the ceremony.  I haven’t nailed down the specifics but it will be the effect that most people do.
