So we are currently looking into photographers around the area and one of our favorites includes a “bride and groom session”. I don’t know if I like this idea and would like to get some opinions from you girls on what you would do. The bride and groom session would take place before the wedding day or ceremony so you can get some photos of the two of you before the ceremony and reception so you can be less stressed and enjoy your party longer. But the downside is seeing each other before the ceremony.. its sooo traditional to not have him see you before the ceremony and my mom really isn’t for this.. I don’t know though both have some really good upsides!

We are having a bride and groom session before the ceremony. I know it kind if kills the whole tradition.. but honestly im trying to stay away from the traditional wedding and making it more modern. I think it will be just as exciting seeing each other before the ceremony.
Im gonna get dresses at my parents house and he is getting dresses at his parents house so we dont see each other anyways not until he’s gonna come pick me up. I think it should be fun and it will take 100 pounds of stress out of my sholders knowing that the guest are not sitting waiting for us to get done with our picture session. But again.. it really is all up to you in the end and if you want to stay with the tradition or not.

We did this and it was great! I wasn’t so sure about it at first because I liked the thought of him not seeing me until I walked down the aisle, but I’m so glad we did. I was so stressed the whole day (and so was my husband) but at soon as we got to the park and had our “first look” all the stress went away. Getting to spend that time with my husband before the ceremony was the best thing 🙂
