I walked to an instrumental of Sia ‘Breathe Me’. I know it isn’t a very wedding-y song, but it is the most moving piece of music I have ever heard, and being a massive Six Feet Under fan, it just seemed right. My close second was ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Vaughan Williams- but I used that elsewhere.

It is one of the most important moments, so make sure the song speaks to you!

We had a surprise processional that turned from traditional “Canon in D” into “the Final Countdown” and the lights went out — like the beginning of a basketball game. It was epic. My husband composed the bridge between the two songs.

I’m thinking of walking down the aisle to the piano instrumental version of Muse – Starlight and then using the original version as our recessional.

hafh2016 :  I usually don’t go for Disney songs but we are using this song as well.  I bet your string version was beautiful!  We are having a violinist and a harpist.

We’re going for ‘Tonight, Tonight’ by Smashing Pumpkins. A band we both love, but we feel this version without the singing will be fantastic in the large ballroom we have for the ceremony.

(Slight odd video though…tongue-out)

Our best man is a guitarist in a band and he is going to play a live acoustic song while we are walking down. We are thinking “You Had Me At Hello” by A Day to Remember. It’s a beautiful acoustic and probably the only chance I will get to play something by my favorite band
