It’s interesting.. and I like that the photos are from her perspective. However, I can’t imagine being preoccupied trying to take photos my wedding day. I’d rather my focus be elsewhere. Not to mention part of the fun, I would imagine, is getting the photos back after the wedding and seeing moments captured that you may have missed the day of. But to each their own, and this couple certainly has a unique set of photos to remember the day by 🙂

When I first read the title I was like, “OMG what a disaster”, but these are actually super pretty. They feel much more intimate than a lot of the portraits you see.

I love it! Of course, if I had thighs like that I wouldn’t mind taking selfies of my lap either. 🙂

It’s a fun idea only if you have a professional photographer present as well.  A bride can take a few selfies of course,  but have a real professional photograph the day too.  What if all the selfies come out crappy? This person is a pro photographer, she  used some amazing camera,  therefore this stunt will not work for  most brides

MsBeer:  Oh I actually dislike them, clearly I’m in the minority. The biographical story is novel but I can’t imagine being in the moment while trying to take photos of my wedding day. I was too interested in my DH and the guests.

MsBeer:  I LOVE the last picture!!  It is an interesting idea, but I would still want another photographer to capture the moments that I coiuldn’t get because I was busy being in the moment!!

I don’t like it. It seems controlling and AW-ish. And like the pix are more important than the actual event. As her guest (or her groom) I wouldn’t be happy. The hugging pictures look like photo ops, like she doesn’t even care about who she’s hugging, she just wants to get a cool shot. The fact that she’s a professional photographer and knew she’d probably get some press from it makes it even less “awww” and more “uhh…” to me.

I gag a little at the unplugged wedding signs saying “we want you to be present with us, in the moment” because you can’t make other people be “in the moment”. But you’d think that the bride would WANT to be completely present and living the moment during her wedding. That’s why you hire a photographer — to capture all those moments as you live them. She’s not hurting anyone though (except being rude to her guests) so it’s whatever.
