I saw this post on here from 2010 and I thought it was really fun paging through and seeing what the models look like vs. the actual bride…. and in most cases the actual bride was more stunning in the gown!
I went bridesmaid dress shopping with my best friend and my mom taged along too…. I saw another bride trying on this dress and my mom and I both loved it. I ended up trying the dress on and it was the dress! This was my first time stepping into a bridal salon and trying on a dress. Its a Limited Eddition Allure L300. This is the sample dress so it will fit tight across my stomach and the pull-ups will also lay better as seen in the model pic.

probably because the bride has something to really smile/glow about!!!

Ooh, love it. I’m at work so I don’t have photos on me, but I LOVED my gown on me, and just felt “meh” about it on the model. Talk about a major self-esteem booster when you rock your wedding gown better than the model does. 🙂

Pronovias Higuera (apparently the model has a tummy ache)

I hated the model photo of my dress. Actually made me feel like I made a bad choice!

I don’t have my true wedding photos yet, but I have them from my 2nd to last fitting.

I love this thread! I don’t have anything to contribute yet, but it is so helpful to see dresses on real, non-photoshopped people 🙂

I haven’t had an offical fitting yet, but here’s when I went to try it on last.
Sorry they are so big.

Everyone looks so great! I wish that I could have seen dresses on real brides instead of on models when I was shopping for my dress. Much better marketing!!!!
