I will have just turned thirty when I get married in June – I don’t feel like I’m at my prime, I KNOW I am ๐Ÿ™‚

I just turned 28 and my wedding is in two weeks! I do think it’s a great age, although I will say, in my ideal world, I think 24 – 25 would have been a little better, especially if kids were a big priority for me (we’re not sure if we want kids or not).

I am happy with it though – can’t really control how it works out, and I definitely feel like I am old enough that there are ZERO questions about my stability, if we’ve thought it through, if this is a good decision, etc. But yet still young enough not to have people wonder what took me so long, haha. Mid to late 20’s is definitely an ideal time in that you aren’t judged as being too young, but you aren’t judged for not having gotten married earlier either.

I was 25 and Darling Husband was 28 when we got married… it was the ideal time for us. We had been together for 7 years and accomplished what we wanted to separately. Now we can enjoy the rest of our 20s married and build our lives together.

Married at 23, divorced at 26. Taking the plunge again at 29. Wish I had waited but I learned so much from my first marriage.

We will both have just turned 26 when we get married. We have been together 7 years so yes we could have gotten married earlier, but we didn’t. I guess that’s a good thing because now I’ve had more time to plan an awesome wedding!

Ha, I will be 27 when I get married but my parents got married when they were 26/25 and were divorced almost immediately ๐Ÿ™‚

No offense, but when you state a “best age range to get married” you’re directly implying that those of us younger and older than that are at a “bad” age to get married.

Not the nicest sentiment.

I’m 29 and I feel it’s a great age to get married, however I’m sure I’d feel the same way if I was 25 or 35.

We are doing things a bit backwards tho, because our 7 year old son will be our ring bearer at our wedding ๐Ÿ™‚

I really don’t think there is a ‘best age to get married.’ This age is different for everyone. Maturity does  not always come with age. Likewise, someone can be much more mature in their early 20s than someone in their later 20s or older. Different for everyone.

@joya_aspera:  Yeah, I kind of agree with you there.

My fiance and I are both 25, and we’re thrilled to be getting married now, because it lines up well with us buying a house, planning to have kids, etc. (stuff that fiance wanted to do after marriage), so technically this age is ideal if you feel that other life events (kids, house, etc.) should happen after a wedding.
I guess another advantage is that you’re young in your wedding photos, but there’s a part of me that would rather save the $12K we’re spending on the wedding and do it all after we’ve paid off a house and had kids and everything!

I’ll be 28 when I’m married and all I can say is that I’m glad I waited this long!!  My early 20’s were a BLAST and I couldn’t imagine missing out on all the fun I had in college/grad school.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Plus, I’ve changed tremendoulsy as a person and really feel like I have finally settled into my personality. — if that makes any sense??

What a stupid way to look at marriage.
