I went to a BABC early this year.  If you are shy or modest, this is not the event for you.  There is a open dressing room, so basically there is a room with racks and racks of dresses, you bring them to another big room in the back where there are empty racks, you hang them up and and try them on.  There will be volunteers to help you if you need help.  I brought a nude colored strapless bra/slip with me so I am not totally stripping down.  I didn’t find my dress there but there were a lot of girls that walked out with beautiful dresses.  Let me know if you have any other specific questions.

I didn’t get my dress there, but my friend and I had a great time going through and trying on the dresses at the event! If you’re a size 6-10 I think the selection is great, there were a lot of new and beautiful dresses there. At the DC event, they even had an expert alterations guy there to answer your alteration questions and give you quotes, so you’ll see how much the extra stuff would cost you.

I would recommend going on Friday afternoon if you can, the weekend might get a little hectic. But overall the atmosphere was really friendly and happy and I found it to be a nice experience. 🙂
