Hey everyone, I just called the MAC counter to make an appt to get my makeup done for my wedding, since I wear MAC every day I really wanted to use them. The girl was sort of shady and said “we aren’t supposed to take brides here…” but said she would have to give me a call back and let me know if they could do it or not. I thought it was strange, I know other counters will do brides, is this just a MAC policy? Anyone else getting their m/u done at MAC? Just curious!!

I have seen many brides get there makeup done at MAC – If anything contact an actual MAC store in your area ( not the counter) they might be a bit more expensive, but worth it since it is MAC 🙂 gl!

I’m actually hiring a MAC consultant to come to my house and do my makeup. I will be going to her at the counter for the trial though. I’ve heard of no such policy…

That sounds strange … but I guess you could always not tell them its for your wedding. My cousin did this (not at a MAC counter though) and was charged HALF of what they normally charge for “bridal” makeup.

I know that a lot of MAC consultants do wedding makeup on the side- meaning they will come to wherever you are getting ready and you pay them directly.
If you are looking to go INTO the store on the day of your wedding, I believe that most MAC stores have a free-application policy if you buy $50.00 in makeup. Otherwise, I think you have to pay for the makeup session.
It might be worth it to go in and talk to them and say you want to try a bunch of different colors. You should be able to do that for free without buying anything. And then make an appointment to go back the day of your wedding and be prepared to buy the products then. The MAC items add up, so I am sure if you bought the lip liner, lipstick and gloss, plus one or two eyeshadows, you would be over the $50.
