@TorontoBride2be:  500,000. I can hardly believe it either. weddings costing around that much are not super rare where I’m from, but seeing this post is reminding me how insane it kind of is.

now reading all your # making me feeling a lot better. I have been feeling guilty budgeting the wedding at 30K. Now the numbers are slowly firm up on the big items, $ that I’m certain to pay is at $30,500+, with the misc items, invitation cards etc…

I’m guessing we will be over budget by 1 – 2K, no more than 5K

The most expensive item is the photography package which I’m guessing at the end it will be no more than $6400 CAD.  that’s including engagement photos, gown rental, MU, album etc.

We spent $5600 (+ the cost of alcohol which was paid for by my husband’s parents) for 60 people.

Our budget is $7,000. Origionally it was $5,000.

We are having 50 guests and an Addams Family theme.

In our local area weddings average at $10,000 – $15,000.

My Mums second wedding was held in a friends backyard and she spent $10,000 – which was mainly spent on a DJ, BBQ and an Open Bar.

My SIL spent close to $15,000 so she could have her dream venue.

Our budget is $20,000 for 100ppl. We opted for a small town instead of the city, so that we could save money.

We started with $12,000 (including my dress) for 150 people, but with the addition of 70 more people and my future inlaws fancy expectations we are now out $40,000 for 220 ppl. Luckily they are making up for the difference 🙂

Probably somewhere between $25-30k, not including rings or honeymoon. I haven’t kept track exactly though.

My budget was $20K but we are definitely going to spend closer to $25K without the ring and the honeymoon! My guest list is 135.

@jnj2014:  I started off with a budget of $25K, but now I am at $38K. This is for a Destination Wedding in Cabo for 60 guests (inviting 90, budgeting for 60). This includes subsidizing some travel costs and all lodging costs for our immediate family for two nights ( bought out a boutique hotel that also serves as the wedding/reception site). This doesn’t include honeymoon and wedding bands, which I am budgeting an additional 6K.
