Went shoppping to find my dress and was convinced that glasses would be the most difficult part of my outfit to find. I wanted something a bit glam, but not too over the top – fancy enough that they felt like my wedding glasses but not so fancy I would never wear them again.
Popped into a lovely independent opticians in Brighton and fell in love with these! They were more expensive than my dress (which is more a factor of how cheap the dress was rather than how expensive the glasses were!! )
And they arrived today! I am going to get the inside engraved with the date of the wedding 🙂
I’d love to see some other beautiful brides in glasses!

So cute! The shape really flatters your face and I love the sparkle!
I got married 8 years ago when wire frames were the most popular. Mine were a similar warm gold/bronze color and had champagne crystal accents.

Awesome thread! I wear glasses and I’m not sure what to do with them for my wedding, my contacts have recently started irritating my eyes and I can’t decide what to or what not to put on y face or in my eyes for the wedding.

OMG. I love these frames. Who is the designer?

I wear glasses! I’m not sure what I’ll do yet. If to walk down the aisle without them then get the Maid/Matron of Honor to hand me them during the ceremony lol My Fiance likes me in glasses so I may just walk down in them.

I wear glasses daily, and I really can’t stand wedding dresses and glasses! Just looks off to me. I suffered through contacts on my day with no regrets lol

Really gorgeous, lovely and simple 🙂

I’ve worn glasses every day of my life since I was 2 years old and it didn’t even cross my mind to not wear glasses on the day. I’ve had a few people be a bit funny about it and when I told my fiance he laughed and said BUT THEYRE PART OF YOUR FACE. I love the ones I’ve bought and I will be delighted to wear them again!
I have to say I’m not wearing a ‘normal’ wedding dress, its emerald green knee length 😉

They are by William Morris, I bought them from The Specky Wren in Brighton but you can buy them online – the frame is style 1505 🙂 – I can only find them in silver online… and I want them in silver now too…. soooo fun.

omg love them!
I chose Cole Haan frames. I knew I wanted plastic nude/crystal/blush frames, and these were the only ones I was able to get in time that were fully covered by my insurance.

Love the glasses! We must live quite close because mine are from Taylor-West and Sloan in Hove! I didn’t wear mine until later on in the reception but I suffered through the hours of discomfort of contacts because everyone I asked said I would look really odd in glasses and my dress 😔. Wish I’d worn them for the ceremony now.

Had mine since I was 9 and I’m 32 now so this is the only way most people have ever known me so I look odd without them!

I love this look:
I personally think winged/cat eye glasses look the most bridal, maybe because it’s a very feminine shape!

I’m in the same boat. I’ve worn glasses since I was 6, and I think I look better with my glasses on. I have a long oval shaped face, and I think my glasses help to give my face shape. Everyone has told me “glasses aren’t bridal” so I’m really unsure of what I’m going to do.

I’m a glasses wearer, but I went without on my wedding day. I’m not completely blind…haha. I do need them to see the tv and for driving so I basically wear them all the time, but I can sit around and hang with friends without them. I couldn’t see across the reception…haha…but I just dealt with it. I absoultely hate wearing glasses, but I can’t seem to get comfortable with contacts. I really want Lasik!

I love what you chose! I’m def going to wear glasses down the aisle, and I’m also going to pick out a pair of special frames! Love the engraving idea.
