I’m not engaged yet, but I’m planning on making it work with birth control too. If I look ahead and it’s supposed to come that day, I’ll modify my schedule. Lovely birth control, so useful 🙂
I would have started on our wedding day (don’t know why I didn’t figure that out before we picked our date!) but I’ve since gone off the pill so it’s all up in the air now!
Haha, like at least 6 months in advance. (I’m on the pill too, making it easy to know.) And luckily I won’t have to adjust my schedule.
Mine has been weird and irregular all of the sudden (2 in Jan and none in Feb) so I can’t look in advance. But I plan on getting the 3 month shot in April or May so I can guarentee I wont have it.
I wasn’t getting my period at the time so it didn’t matter.
I have the copper IUD so my periods are pretty long. 🙁
Luckily it will be over by the big day…I’ve been checking every month!
I have an app on my phone that tracks and predicts the next 12 cycle….so far it’s saying I’ll get it 2 days after the day. Yay!!!!!
I’m 6.5 months out and haven’t even checked even though my nuva ring switch days are on my calendar so it wouldn’t be too hard.
I tend to skip my period most months so I figure that whenever it comes in August I’ll let it come and whenever it’s due in September I’ll put the next ring in without having a period.
@Mrs Hedgehog: Just a quick warning: it sometimes takes up to 3 rounds of depo before your period goes away. Some women are lucky and it goes away after the first shot, but it takes others a few cycles!
I switched my pills around about 5 months before. I stopped taking the pill in Feb. 10. I started again in July. I used an app on my phone and started the pills on a day that would make it my period come a week before the wedding.
Omg… you got me so scared about this! And then I realized… I have my periods during the week. So I don’t have to worry about the wedding, but I’m going to check to see if it will ruin my honeymoon. Uh oh!!!!
Phew! It’s happening the week before my wedding! 🙂
I got the nova sure procedure so I will be ok… No more periods… YAH!!!!!!!
