the invites and other paper products were my favorite part! (I may have liked it better than the wedding itself, lol). You better believe I DIY-ed the heck out of everything:

(invites/faux calligraphy/envelope inserts)

(programs, place cards, food labels, doggy tie, menu)

(thank yous/faux calligraphy)

I had a friend design mine then I ordered everything from cardsandpockets.com. They did a fantastic job! Then once I got them I had to attached the invites to the silver matting, then the matted invite to the pocketfold. They turned out great!

I designed and printed all of our paper goods.  It was a very time-consuming project, yet oh so rewarding in the end! If you love designing and working and being creative, I definitely recommend DIYing your invites! Just make sure to give yourself plenty of time…. ours took much longer than I ever thought!

I’m making my own invitations too but so far have only designed them.  DIY letterpress.

@squares:  I think I have an invitation crush!  They’re awesome!!  I want to use maps too since we travel a lot.

@vickiburns:  I love the gold foil.  Hope you incorporate that too.

I’m in the process of making ours right now. I just got done printing save the dates yesterday. I love how they came out and I’m having fun working on invitations now. It’s a lot of work though and I’ll be so glad when they’re done.

This is our STDAnd what I have so far for the invites

I plan on doing our invites! I’ve already done them for our engagment party – here’s the image. I’ll probably do something more ‘classic’ for the wedding invites…we bought sticker pearls to put on the top of the hearts for these.
