I have 3 bridesmaids and a bridesman! I want him on my side, he was my best friend from college. I’m wondering if I should ask him to rent the same tux that the groomsmen are going wear? (we don’t know yet what that tux will be, by the way.)
has anyone else been in this situation?
ps: the bridesmaids will be wearing different black dresses.

i have a brides man! i have 1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 1 Bridesmaid or Best Man, and him. i am planning on having him wear the same suit as the Groomsmen, but his tie will match with the girls dresses. the florist and i wanted him to carry the same bouquet as the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor, but i don’t think Fiance family would approve (they’re a little conservative).

i would put him in the same suit as the gm, but maybe a different tie.
@MrsE.ToBe : i can’t imagine a guy wanting to carry a bouquet?

I have a similar situation. My sister doesn’t want to wear a dress, so I’m putting her in a white, collared, button-down dress shirt, black pants and shoes, and a vest in the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. You could do the same for your bridesman, but since you are putting all your girls in black, it might be easier to just dress him like the rest of the guys.

The ladies being in all black makes in kind of difficult. I have a man of honor and instead of a white shirt, he’s going to have a purple shirt (my ladies are wearing purple) and he’s going to have different bow tie then the rest of the guys.

@kitzy: he was on board with the bouquet, he’s not very masculine;)

If the BMs are in black dresses, I’d suggest he wear a black suit. I don’t think he needs to wear the same as the Groomsmen as he’s not on that side.

My bridesman wore the exact same thing as the groomsmen.
