I’ll be 34 when we get hitched and I went for something with a vintage feel.

I’ll be 37 when I marry.   I didn’t disregard dresses that I felt were too young.  My dress is a bit more mature only because I needed something less constrictive for my hot and humid destination wedding! I don’t have a picture if me in it but that’s the dress.

@Mrs.Thibs:  I will be 37 (by 3 days!) at the time I get married. I didn’t really pay attention to age when I shopped.  I ended up with one without sequined/crystal flowers and such because I felt that was too young (even though Dad cried seeing me in it), but more because it didn’t feel like me. I ended up ordering this dress – a ball gown, which I fear might be too young, but I love it.

You’re still young in my book so go with whatever you love!

I’ll be 33 at my wedding, and this is my dress. I don’t really think that 33 is an older bride, but maybe that’s because all my friends are just starting to get married now. I suppose it depends on your circle.

Well I agree with everyone else – wear what you love. I guarantee, truly, that NOBODY will be thinking “she’s too old for that dress” for someone in their early 30s!!!

I was 31 when we got married.

I will be 41 (second marriage for both). Wear what you love and are  comfortable in. It’s about how old you feel!

I’m 32 and will be wearing this dress in 10 days! It definitely has a youthful feel to it but I didn’t even think about age when I was trying on dresses. You should wear what makes you feel amazing and not worry about what anyone thinks about your age 🙂

@Mrs.Thibs:  OP, you should wear what you want to wear.  I live in NYC where people don’t get as hung up about age, so being married in my mid-30s wasn’t a huge factor for me in terms of choosing my dress (below.)

I would look horrible in a ball gown, but if I thought I’d have looked good in one and it was my style, I’d have happily rocked one.  If that’s what you want, ignore the judgers and find a bridal salon that will help you find a dress that meets the style requirements you want and love.

I will be 38 when I get married later this year, I think you should wear what you want. I tried on all sorts of styles until I found what looked best on me, without regard to my age. My dress is Justin Alexander 4546 in Alabaster, I plan on wearing a crinoline underneath it to poof it out.

I’m 30 now, will be 31 on my wedding date, and I’ve never thought I’m an old bride! I still have tons of unmarried friends. My dress is fairly princessy and I don’t see it as a problem! I don’t have a good pic of me in the dress yet but here’s the promotional shot:

30 when we got married. If I would have been mmarried somewhere that a ball gown would have been appropriate, I totally would have rocked it!

@Mrs.Thibs:  I was married at 36 this past October. 🙂 My dress was made by La Sposa, the style name is Manto. 🙂

@Mrs.Thibs:  I completely agree other everyone else. I’m 39 and I tried on all styles of dresses before deciding on the Mikaelle 1408. I loved it and tears rolled down my face when I tried it on! Go with a gown that you love. Try on several styles and have fun with it:)
