@Mrs.Thibs: ouch at “more mature bride” (I’ll be 32 when I say I do as well)

i only considered my budget and what flattered me when shopping for my gown. I decided against anything poofy / ballgowny because I tried it on and felt like a cupcake!

Wear what you love!! I got married at 43 and went with what I wanted, what was comfortable, and what flattered me. Just because it was my second go around and because I wasn’t in my 20’s didn’t mean I had to dress like I was rockin my grandma’s bedspread! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I LOVED my dress- I felt slim, I felt beautiful, I felt like a bride. And my husband was awed by it. That’s what mattered.

Not sure why this first pic is coming up a bit blurry… and ginormous! Sorry!

I think that at 32 you are definitely still young enought owear whatever you feel comfortable in. I’m 31 and wearing this dress, I wanted a more mature look

@PeachSnapple:  Your gown is beautiful! It’s also so nice to see another groom in full dress tails and white tie!! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Penang1885:  Beautiful dress! Is it Enzoani? I love the lace!

@MrsEmeraldLover:  I love that dress! I hope you posts some recaps, because I would love to see it on a real-life bride. It’s stunning!

@Mrs.Thibs:  I was 47 years old when I finally walked down the aisle. I had waited a very, very long time for God to bring the right man into my life, and I had always envisioned myself in a beautiful ball gown with some bling on it.  It was my size, not my age, that kept me from wearing a full, gathered-waist ball gown. However, I did like my Swarovski-crystal encrusted, A-line, silk, James Clifford ball gown. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is my dress:

@LyndaButterfly: I love your dress, it’s absolutely stunning!

As for getting married “later on in life”, I was married two days before turning 30. Don’t think I would have changed my dress choice so much if I had been 20 or 40. I always hated strapless dresses on me, so sleeves were a must. Then I got married out in the middle of nowhere, so a long dress wasn’t really in the cards either. Went with a tea length dress with cap sleeves and really didn’t feel like it was about age, just about it being me.

So, as all previous posters have said… don’t focus on the age, focus on what makes you happy and what makes you feel comfortable. That’s what truly make you a beautiful bride!

I’m 31 and this is mine. It didn’t even cross my mind that I should be looking for something age-appropriate. I don’t think 32 is a mature bride at all.

I was 33 when I got married. I knew I always wanted a tight and sexy dress. I wore Casablanca 1995.

@Mrs.Thibs:  I really think that you can wear whatever makes you feel amazing! 30s is hardly old, and on your wedding day you should wear your dream dress regardless of age!

@Mrs.Thibs:   Wear whatever you want!!  Please don’t even consider your age – it is your special day and I hope you will choose a dress you absolutely love!!

I’m 51 and will be an encore bride, and will be wearing this dress – I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

I think you should definitely wear whatever makes you feel most beautiful. I don’t think there is an age limit for dresses and the previous posters pics demonstrate that. Everyone looks amazing!

Here’s my dress and I’ll be 37…
