@canuckandakiwi:  Hi, there! So sorry if this sounds creepy, but I swear I recognize your picture from a wedding blog (Style me Pretty or one of the others). Was your wedding at Bryant Park Grill by any chance (I’ve spent a lot of time Googling photos of weddings from there)? If so, can you give me your take on it? Fiance and I are waffling between that and Colicchio & Sons and would really love any insight you have.

If I have mixed you up with someone else, I apologize!!! Your dress is beautiful!

Got married at 36, and I say get whatever dress you feel beautiful in!  A bride is a bride!  🙂

@Mrs.Thibs:  Your age should have no bearing on what wedding dress you choose. If my 80 year old grandmother got remarried and wanted to wear a Cinderella dress I would say go for it!

Your style, personality, theme, venue, etc should be what you consider when choosing your dress. Wear what you want and what makes you comfortable.

I’ll be 33 when we get married in September.  I’ll be wearing a lace fit and flare that I will alter to be more mermaid.

I’m 30 now but will be 31 by the time we get married later this year.  I just bought my dress this weekend!  I went with the Augusta Jones Jayma.  I didn’t consider age when choosing a gown either – so many people in NYC that get married at older ages.  I just knew I wanted something fitted and sexy.

Not my pics, and opting for the dress w/o the shrug.

Agree with all the other brides here. I was 35 when I got married in December and never felt like an “old” bride.

I’ll be 30, one month shy of 31 on the day of the wedding. I think you should wear whatever dress fits your personality and makes you feel beautiful!

I will still be 29 when we have our legal ceremony next month. But I will turn 30 right before we have our blessing ceremony and reception where I will actually wear the bridal gown I purchased. Above is the picture of me in my Allure Romance gown.
