I haven’t seen this but I’m not surprised. It doesn’t just apply to wedding items, people do this on craigslist as well.

For my items listed I typically did 50% or so on the price.

I’ve seen this a lot of craigslist. Normally if you target items that have been listed a while, you can make a lowball offer they’ll accept because they just want to get rid of the stuff.

Yeah. If something is used, I expect to get it for 50% or less of the original purchase price.

Some people are delusional 🙂

It is amazing what some people try to sell their used items for.  If I can buy it brand new at Target for $25, I don’t want to pay for a used version of the same item for $25 + shipping! 


With that being said, there have been times when I have found items at Goodwill and sold them on Craigslist for 20x what I paid for it.  I found a massive beautiful mirror at Goodwill once for $20.  I sold it for $400!!! 🙂
