I wore extensions on my wedding day and it was the best decision ever. My hair is pretty similair to yours in texture and it also gets thing when it is curled. Here are before and after pictures….

I got my extensions at Sallys Beauty and they were about $130. I have worn them about 20 times now and they are holding up perfectly. I have only washed and straightened them once myself and they were curled twice by my hairdresser. Def go for it you will need them to match the style that you like if you want your hair to look lush and thick.

My hair is thin in a similar way to yours, but shorter. My maid of honor, who did my hair (she is a hair stylist), went to Sally Beauty Supply and bought extensions for my hair. The ones she bought needed to have clips attached to them, but they were only like $30. They matched my hair perfectly and it made it soooo much easier to put my hair up.

@Feigem01: *GASP* SO BEAUTIFUL! Oh my gosh, I can’t stop staring! Do you remember how long yours are? That is exactly what I’m looking for!
@peachacid: Sally Beauty seems like a great option. Thank you!

I wore clip in extensions to get the thickness I needed for the style I wanted and I have absolutely no regrets

I didn’t vote, since my wedding day has passed and I didn’t wear extensions but my hair is very thin (my ponytail is about the circumference of a dime if that gives an idea) and it’s a mediium length. I wore my hair in a loose side chignon for my day so didn’t need extensions but for the look you’re going for, some extensions for volume and a touch of length would really enhance the style. I’m about to pull the trigger on ordering Bellami hair extensions, I’m so sick of my thin hair I don’t even know why I’m bothering to grow it, it’s starting to look scraggely. (is that even a word? my apologies haha)

@cdncinnamongirl: I know the feeling. I’d been growing it out for some time now and I wore it down to a family event and many people asked me if I’m stressed because my hair is so thin. My grandmother even pulled me to the side and asked me why my hair looked so thin. Kind of embarrasing. But, I do think a lot of it is from straightening it when I wear it down…
Do you order the Bellami extensions online?

@SouthernBee33: They were the 18 inch extensions and then my hair dresser trimmed them and layered them a little bit to blend in better with my real hair. And thank you! I basically had the same hairstyle that your inspiration picture was on my wedding day except instead of the half up being braided it was criss crossed like this:

Here is the link to the extensions:

@Jessicachantal: Me too! It’s frustrating to see girls with big SEXY hair! But, thinking about it…they probably have extensions, too! Haha!

I have thin hair too, and my hair stylists (who has done my hair forever and I totally trust) said that my hair would hold up a lot better with extensions. Real extensions are way too expensive and ruin hair. Get the clip ins. You can get them at Sallys or even cheaper online. Just make sure they are real human hair or they will fry from a curling iron.

I just bought hair extensions and I love them! They are very comfortable. If you’re going for. Full look I’d get 160 grams- which means there’s more hair in them! I got 120 and wish I has gotten more.. However I have shoulder length hair, so I think when my hair is long and they blend together they will be thick enough! I got mine from mypinkvanity.com and they are called lush locks. They are $90 I believe, which is a great price for clip ins as they’re usually over $100.
ETA: they are real human hair REMY hair extensions. REMY hair is the highest quality hair you can get, and the only if suggest if you want them to last a good amount of time. Also, my extensions only took a couple of days to get here! I got them on Black Friday for $80 and they arrived at my home that Tuesday.

@SouthernBee33: I vote extensions. I do clip ins a lot, and they blend in “pretty good” with my super layered hair when they are curled. I ordered mine online, but the Sally’s ones aren’t bad either. I will be doing Tape In for the wedding specifically, but only because I don’t want to have to worry about taking clips in and out during the honeymoon. I also find the seams less evident when they’re taped in, and that it’s easier for my hairdress to blend them.

I didn’t vote because there wasn’t an option for me – I won’t be wearing extensions because my hair is way to thick to start with, but I think extensions are perfectly fine if they give you the look you want. Though I probably wouldn’t encourage the really cheapy ones you can get at Claire’s in the mall. I’m jealous of all you thinner haired ladies who have so many styling options – my hair just won’t behave!

@mgbser: Yes, I will be getting the human hair. Thanks for the advice!
@FutureWifeyV: Thanks! I’ll check that out. I have no idea what color my hair would be if I ordered online though.
@smv22114: Good point about the honeymoon…Have your clip-in ever fallen out? I’m nervous my hair being so thin they’ll just slide off.
