We had an airbnb apartment!  It was pretty much a mansion, and with me, BMs and my parents sharing it worked out at around £50 per person 🙂  Here’s a couple of pics that show the place:

My parents rented a house to stay in the week of the wedding and we got ready there. My husband and the rest of the men got ready at his parents house.

I had me, my mom, Mother-In-Law, three bridesmaids, our reader, and my aunt getting ready at the house. We all needed a lot of space! Personally, I would spend the extra and get the suite. You don’t want to feel cramped while you are getting ready.

hikingbride :  Thank you!  It was actually from a UK high street shop then I did a few DIY modifications, so it’s really lovely to hear people compliment it 🙂

I got ready at the hotel where we had our reception. We got married in my hometown so I could have gotten ready at my mums but she was worried about space and getting rid of all the dog fur. As we had our reception at the same hotel I was able to ask for a slightly bigger room, although having been in and out of many of the rooms they were all about the same size. We had no issue with space really, there was me, my mum, his mum for a while, two adult bridesmaids, two flower girls and one or two photographers (the male photographer left when we were all getting dressed but in for the rest of the time).

We both got suites in the same hotel..and because I had more people and needed more space..got the suite with 2 floors.

Taken on my phone..

flip_flop :  There is a room at our venue for us to get ready in. I will be getting my hair and makeup done at the salon then going to the venue to get ready.

The hotel where I am doing my hotel block has a bridal dressing room that we are renting from 7am – 4pm. It is about 750 sq feet and what really sold me on it is that they include a breakfast and lunch for the bridal party. Also, it worked out to be less expensive than booking a larger suite because we would have needed to book the suite for 2 nights in order to have it all day for getting ready.

Have you told them it’s your wedding? They often will do a free upgrade. For example, we paid for a standard suite, and we get a fireplace suite. They also said that my parents, who paid for a standard, can get an upgrade if they have one of the fireplace suites open that day.

Wedding hasn’t happened yet but we will be getting ready at our venue. They just built a brand new area for the brides to get ready in and the groomsmen have a long vintage trailer thats been repurposed inside the bar area to get ready in.

Bridal area:

Grooms area (the vintage trailer in the back of the picture has been converted inside for the groom and his party to use, our wedding is in a different part of the venue so this will not have tables set up):
