I recently got my “ends trimmed” Apperently that means getting about 4+ inches chopped off… OOPS!!
I was wanting an updo, and now im worried Im not going to have enough to make it work!
we have also been going over budget, and extensions are expensive, so thats out of the question!!
So I was wandering what the average length is for an updo and how much is required??If you where an updo can you post a picture as well as how long your hair was??
Also, I cant beleive im posting my “sad haircut picture” but its the only one ive got since I got it cut.
What i wanted:
Is it still possible?? (2 months till wedding)

I’m no hair expert, but I am hoping to wear my hair in an updo, and your hair is longer than mine, so I really hope an updo will work for you! But really, I think you can still do an updo, especially since you have two more months until the wedding. :]

I don’t think you will have any problems your hair looks long enough to me.
Love all the hair pics you posted:)

I’m a hair dresser and you can definitely do updos with that length !

@MrsRichard: Awesome!! Ive been so worried!! I hope so 🙂

My bridesmaids all had updos and they all had about shoulder length hair like yours

I had very long hair (about fully covered my boobs), and I actually had to cut it to have and updo. Because it was so thick and long my hairstylist said there was no way it was going to happen unless I cut it. My hair was cut to just at the shoulders. I’ve been lazy about haircuts, so it’s right at where your current length is.
long story short: you’ll be fine

And don’t forget you can always do clip on extensions for an updo! Just buy then at the drug store or wherever, and you dye them to match your hair color if you want. Take them as a backup if you are nervous you won’t have enough length, or if you want something really full.

I am a cosmo student and I know for sure that your hair is plenty long enough for the updo you are wanting, unless you have some super short hidden layers 😛

Your hair is longer than mine was on my wedding day, and I had an updo. Worked out just fine! 🙂

My hair was about the same length as yours when I got married, and they had no problem working it into an updo (trust me you will have lots of hair to work with… anyone who can make a pony tail, has options)
I don’t get updos very often… and that was probably the last one for me for a long while… because like many Brides, I’ve had the the ever-popular Post Wedding Chop / Restyle done since.

You’re hair is definitely long enough to put into an updo! My hair was maybe an inch or two shorter than what you have and I had no problems at all (at a friend’s wedding), here are before and after shots 🙂
