Hello!
I am starting to look for my wedding shoes, and there are so many beautiful bridal shoes out there, but I don’t want a pair that I only wear once. I know a lot of brides opt for something fun, like blue or shoes in their favorite color, but for those who went with classic shoes, have you ever found another occasion to wear them? Do you just have them displayed in your closet?

I haven’t actually gotten married yet but I got mine on amazon for only about $50. They’re betsy johnson and they’re white and bejeweled. I doubt i’ll ever wear them again so I might try to resell on poshmark or something!

Those shoes look amazing, but I bet they would cause a wedding dress to snag like crazy…

I will be wearing these sparkly Christian Louboutin’s at my wedding (not my photo). I think these are party shoes not necessarily bridal shoes. I definitely will wear them again and again. I go to formal parties a couple of times each year so I will have other occasions to wear these to. 😉

bear123 : I have nothing helpful to add, but I’m facing the same dilema. My gown doesn’t have a lot of embelishments so I wanted some sparkley heels but I highly doubt I’ll wear them again (also is anyone really even going to see them on the day?!). I’m leaning towards getting a second hand pair that some other bride only wore once. Or going with blue…I might get more use out of that color?

I tried to just find a picture of my shoes, but instead I put the link. I am dying for my wedding to come so that I can actually wear my wedding shoes. I hate knowing that I have them and they would look great with an outfit, but I can’t wear them. I came across them when looking for wedding ballet flats, so I don’t know if these are outside your idea of traditional.
I don’t know that I would wear the beautiful shoes you have linked again, but if you went with a more silver/mettalic shoe and jewels, I think that I would end up wearing them again for fun nights out. I think the white makes it difficult to rewear them.

I had my wedding Louboutins custom strassed with 24K gold coated Swarovski crystals. I’ve worn them to another wedding so far. At the moment, they occupy a corner of our room…

bear123 : I did and I’ve never wore them again as they look obviously bridal. They sit in a box in my wardrobe collecting dust along with my hairpiece, jewelry and veil. My veil, and shoes do make it out of the box on occasion as my niece likes to try it all on. She tells me she want to wear it when she gets married. She’s welcome to it but I told her she may change her mind.

These were my shoes. I took them off after I walked back up the aisle and never saw them again but I think perhaps they are in a closet, maybe?

no one is really going to see your shoes unless you have a short dress.
i bought a pair of sparkly high heels for$50 from nordstrom rack. i wore them to a wedding the month before mine to break them in and to the symphony. then to my wedding.
since then, i’ve worn them to bar mitzvahs, weddings, and paired with jeans for a night out.
they can dress up a casual outfit. plus they are comfortable to wear.

I have no reason to wear mine again, but I only spent 13 bucks so I don’t care. They were white eyelet lace to match my dress, a lucky find on amazon.
you could always get white and dye to a more practical color later.

I bought a pair of sparkly flats for my wedding. I haven’t worn them again yet, but I plan to for a new years party or something like that. I also just spent $40 though, so if I don’t wear them again, oh well.
