I kept my bangs. Loved them and still love them. I even had an older man (like grandfather age) tell me that he was glad I had bangs because most women today don’t do it and he thought they looked really nice.
I think I’ve decided to go with….DOWN! Here is a picture of my hair inspiration only with my bangs of course. I just love them side swept romantic feel. Plus, you’ll still be able to see my earrings and neck/shoulders.
My next fitting is in a couple of weeks and lucky for me, my hair stylist is also my bridesmaid! So she’s coming with and will guide me. I really trust her opinion because not only does she know the look I want but she knows my how my hair holds up.
My bangs are a little different than hers but I’m doing the Reese Witherspoon look. 🙂
@Daizy914: They weren’t major changes like starting from scratch or anything. We changed the height of the poof on the top of my head a couple times and I asked for an extra braid to be put in on one side. We still got everything done in the allotted time. My hair and makeup stylist was very accommodating and understood that it’s your wedding day, you want it to be perfect.
I have full, straight-across bangs and I will be keeping them for the wedding. I like the way I look with bangs so much better than without…they’ve become a security blanket at this point!
I plan on doing a look like this, but with my bangs down and across my forehead:
I’ve had it done kind of similarly before, and it turned out cute with my bangs:
I had a side fringe. We just pinned it back with hairspray and bobby pins.
@jenm2be: I had two ceremonies, and for the first I did a sideswept bang (my usual look), and for the second ceremony the hair stylist somehow made it into a full bang. I was impressed ! I really liked the full bang so that’s what I have now for my everyday look!
