Loving these photos. If that’s the way you normall wear your hair, I wouldn’t change it for the wedding day. I’m a bright redhead as well, and DEFINITELY leaving it this way for the wedding. People tell me all the time that it looks natural on me, and I’ve had it this shade for years, so to change it would be crazy, IMO. πŸ™‚

@LeSpice:  I’m actually a hairdresser and I specialize in colour. So while I do often do my own touch-ups, it’s not quite the same as the average “DIY” job.

I would definitely recommend going to a salon, especially for your “big day” colour. A slightly toned-down, but still vibrant and beautiful red, might be the perfect compromise for you on your wedding day. If you don’t want to or can’t afford to go to a pro all the time, I would recommend to try to start going about 6-8 months before your wedding…that way they’ll have time to get you on the right track to be your desired shade by your wedding. Do your research and find someone who specializes in colour. It makes a world of difference…trust me!

@LeSpice – I have been following this thread a bit just see everyone’s look. After seeing your hair color I would actually lean towards toning it down to the third poster’s color. I think she looks super classic and it would also be a great shade for you. That being said, I do not see anything wrong with keeping your current color, just my opinion that I think that may be a nicer shade for the day of.

I absolutely ADORE bright red hair. I say DO IT. It’ll pop like crazy with a white dress and it will look awesome.

P.S. My Future Mother-In-Law hated when I had bottle-red hair, too.

@LeSpice:  Ohmygod that dress is exquisite. I do agree with the hairdresser who posted with her recommendations about getting a professional to perfect the colour a bit.

@LeSpice OMG Who is that Dress from???

Definitely agree above to check with a stylist but I do think that a slightly different shade would look AMAZING with that dress – just to complete that more vintage feel. Love your choice!

Here’s my red wedding hair. It’s not as bright as yours but I do it myself. The ombre effect my hair had was all accidental. πŸ™‚ I dye my own hair with box color, I usually do red of some shade, depending on my mood when I’m buying hair color, but a few times back from this picture I had gone black. Which, we all know black sucks to cover up. So I didn’t dye my hair for almost a year after I did the black hoping it would both grow out and fade a bit. So when it was time to dye my hair I chose a deep burgundy red to maybe cover the black with a reddish tint and my hair would be generally the same color. But nope, the red took crazy to the grown out part and barely to the black. However, I absolutely LOVED it! Especially with our wedding colors being hot pink and black it went with the whole theme! πŸ™‚

@LeSpice:  This was my hair at its reddist i loved it even if it was a bit brassy.

But i toned it down abit and and it is now a subtle red

Either going to leave it like this or go a shade brighter for the wedding i’m undecided.
