I’ve been growing my hair since we got engaged a year ago. BUT! As my hairdresser says, I have a LOT of hair, but it’s very fine. My hair takes to curls pretty well, but my hair also hates humidity. . . which is why I’m thinking I want my hair up for the wedding – to avoid any frizz and my “wings” as I like to call them (little hairs on sides of head that stick out for no apparent reason).
So! If you have fine or thin hair like me, how are you doing your hair? Pics, if possible, please!

I bought clip in human hair extensions

I have VERY fine hair, and it doesn’t usually hold curls that well, but my stylist got it to stay with a lot of hairspray (without it looking weird or crunchy!)
I did a side swept style – great for me because I wanted some hair down, but it was still off my neck:

I have very fine/thin hair as well! I am going to put it up for my wedding because I know the curl will fall and I don’t want to have to worry/mess with it! Here is an idea of what I’m thinking of doing… My hair trial is this coming Monday.

@Shession6: I saw that pic on pinterest and have it pinned to my wedding board! Would love to see pics of your trial once it’s done! =)

I have very fine thin hair, and the day of my wedding it was overcast, humid, and it rained…. my biggest nightmare!!! haha.
I had my hair put in pincurls in the front…. and she did my birdcage veil to cover the back part of my hair which was left straight but with volume.
i would say my hair held to it pretty good considering the elements of weather that day. I also have shooulder length hair, not long though

im a hairdresser and i have thin and fine hair as well… if you want to put your hair up, you can go and get real hair clip in extentions and they can use that to make sure that you have enough fullness.. i dont know if you have a sally’s beauty where you live, they have the real hair extensions for about $60.00 when they go on sale

I have super thin hair and have never had it longer than a few inches past my shoulders, because it looks awful when it is that long! And, I’m not even sure it will grow that long because if it could, it would likely take about 4 years! I have always had thin hair that grows very slowly, but never thought about hormone issues as the cause…I will have to look into this…but, I digress.
I grew out my hair as long as possible before the wedding. My stylist did an awesome job of making my hair look nice and full! Wide curls pinned in the back did the trick! I have a picture from our rehearsal dinner night to show how my hair normally looks…although it is hard to tell how thin it really is. Then, I have some pictures of my hair done up! No need to worry! Your hair will look GREAT!

my hair is so thin and fine, and it looks like I have no bangs that is how thin they are, not sure what i am going to do about that at the wedding, buy bang extensions maybe?

My hair is extremely fine and thin – I use Nioxin for thinning hair for goodness sake! Here is a pic of what my hair looks like normally…
And this is what is possible with a lot of curling, hairspray and an awesome hair dresser (couple of different hair trials here)
I was so sceptical that anything could be done with my hair but I was definitely proved wrong!

I have fine, thin hair. I bought some clip in extensions from Sallys to add some volume to my updo.

I’m having a really low-key wedding, so my hair will probably wind up looking something like this.
Simple, but enough to hold the veil up. Plus myself, my mom, sister, or Future Sister-In-Law is doing it.
