Actually if you want something different as a bride, I’ve been swooning over the robes made by Girl With a Serious Dream. Amazing lace patterns, somewhat pricey, but something i will be getting because I can see myself wearing it again and again.

I also went the floral robes from Etsy route and really loved them! And most of my girls did too 🙂

We are getting married in the fall, so we are all wearing plaid button ups. I like the robes and rompers, but I do not see myself ever wearing either again (I hate rompers and I am not a robe person), and I know we will all wear flannels again.

ctbxbee : I think I would avoid a tank top because once your hair/makeup is done, you will have to be extremely careful getting it off. If these are your options, I would choose the robe.

I’m going floral robes…I know they are super overdone but I’m the first in my friendship group to get married so meh, I’m doing it 😊 I love the idea of passing on my bride robe to my friends who get married next, if that’s what they wanted to do

tlane95 : We got married in the UP of Michigan in the fall. I chose these flannel buffalo plaid shirts from Amazon. They were super comfy!! Price was about $15 I think. My sisters and mom love theirs, wear it all the time and asked for more for Christmas! I initially bought them because they fit the rural area and thought they’d never be used again like most bridesmaid things haha

hannabee : I understand the popularity of the robes etc. for those reasons. I just also have no qualms about cutting off a tank top the day of my wedding…which would solve any hair or makeup issues.

I gave everyone a gift which was optional to wear while getting ready. All of the BMs were recently married and have previously been bridal parties and have already bought/gotten robes, shirt, etc. I bought REALLY soft hoodies https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D79NUGM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and soft slippers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DEMQKOU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I figured that everyone would love some nice comfy slippers and a hoodie, especially now that it’s getting colder.
I didn’t personalize anything with their names or our wedding date because I personally hate monogram/personalized things and wanted them to wear the stuff again.

The photo with the rompers is adorable but I personally would not be comfortable wearing that.
The robes are overdone IMO but can be cute (so long as you don’t treat it like a gift; it’s a photo prop) but be mindful of more busty girls as these robes are often one size fits all. I wear a 38G bra and usually the only way a bathrobe fits me is if it’s a man’s large or even XL. I’ve had a lot of embarrassing situations in my life where I’ve been handed an item of clothing for a wedding/photo shoot/ corporate event and had to explain to the organizer that it won’t fit.
