I gave my bridesmaids First Snow Mittens and Hearthside Joggers from Anthropologie with a handwritten note. He gave his groomsmen Fossil Luggage Tags. (We had a winter destination wedding.) 🙂

I found some really pretty gold necklaces on Etsy that I’m going to get each of the women – not for them to wear in the wedding, I think it’s tacky when the wedding party gifts are something for the wedding. And then I’ll get something individual, different for each of them as well and basically just shop for them like it was their birthday or Christmas for that gift.

Fiance is planing on getting the guys flasks and a bottle of their favorite drink.

I’m getting my BM’s monogrammed coffee mugs ($14.99 each on Etsy) and personalized bracelets ($20 each on Etsy). They can use both of these the day of the wedding! Totaling about $35 for each. I envisioned spending a little more.. like what you said $50-75 but these gifts just work for me and I’m not gonna spend more if I don’t have to. Check out Etsy just search “bridesmaids gifts” tons of awesome stuff on there!

ladylawyer:  I don’t think you need to spend so much, so if you’re happy with the $35 per, then go for it. It seems like gifting expectations increase with each and every wedding, each new Pinterest board or whatever.  Bridesmaid gifts used to just be a small token like a necklace (often to be worn that day) and now it’s suddenly rude for it to have anything to do with the wedding or be less than one item.  It’s bizarre.  No need to give in to the trend if you can find something they’ll love for less.

For what it’s worth, I bought my girls their dresses/crinolines as the gift as I felt that was the biggest waste of their own money – neither one was offended or thought that was a bad idea.  In the one wedding I attended I was given a clutch to match the dress.  Was I disappointed?  Yes… I never touched it again so it was a waste of her money.  But offended or expecting more?  Nope!

Etsy’s fun to explore, I’m sure you’ll find something great!

I shopped for them individually. Their gifts shoudn’t be about the wedding, you know?

For my Maid/Matron of Honor who loves to travel — a large leather bag in her fave color and a passport holder from Etsy

For my bridesmaid who loves her Kate Spade bag — a small “going out” KS purse

For my bridesmaid who’s a chemistry fan — a cutting board with the periodic table carved into it (and a necklace because I wanted to spend the same amount on them all)

For my bridesmaid who loves Toms and silver jewelry — a pair of Toms that had been on her Amazon wishlist, and a bangle bracelet I thought she’d love

I feel you, we are having 9 bridesmaid and 9 groomsmen! We struggled with the same thing.

We ended up getting robes for the bridesmaids that I found on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Bund-womens-Colour-Oblique-X-Large/dp/B012ZOCFZ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459977164&sr=8-1&keywords=the+bund+robe+grey) for $17 each:

They are plain but my grandma is sewing white lace on all the sleeve edges and the bottom edge. I am also going to put a white lace initial mongram applique on each robe. I got the monogram appliques with coupons from Joann’s and the lace from the garment district in LA so they were both super cheap!

I also ordered personalized wine charms for the bridesmaids that I will put on champagne glasses for the day of (mimosas!). I ordered these from Etsy and they were $3.69 each: https://www.etsy.com/listing/159359287/personalized-heart-wine-charm

For the groomsmen, we are ordering these knives (or soemthing similar) from Etsy ($20 each): https://www.etsy.com/listing/193731380/rescue-knife-personalized-pocket-knife

We are also got them pilsner glasses (from teh Dollar Tree) and I am going to etch their initials on for them to use the day of.

strawberrybee9:  why did I never think to shop for them individually? That’s an awesome idea…
