    I would have done the same thing. Nobody has time for inconsideration when its your wedding…not hers.

    @gadgetgirl909:  you did the right thing in my opinion. i had to ask a friend to step down and invited her as a guest. it was a little tense, but i know it was for the better. we sometimes have friends in our lives who have to make it all about them. 

    my friend also decided to be late for rehearsal dinner. she was invited since she was an out of town guest. well i decided to leave her in the hotel and let her walk up the road on her own. she is a big girl and the parents of the bride and groom were ready so it was time to go.

    I know this is old, but I’m so glad you posted it.  I just asked my sister to step down – 18 days before the wedding, and I’m having a hard time not being sad/angry/fed up.  Did you end up running into her at the wedding?
