Did you try lavender and white roses together?

I agree — lavender will look great. a soft color like lavender wont be too harsh

I think a lipstick red rose with the stems tied with a black ribbon would be pretty!

Don’t be afraid to add a new colour for the flowers, if the purple flowers aren’t looking as you’d hoped.  Or try a different kind of purple flowers.

I will be carrying white roses as well but I didn’t want the bridesmaids’ bouquets to match mine. So I chose a different white flower, peruvian lillies. Maybe you can chose a different type of flower that is white.

What about different purple flowers?  Or multiple shades of purple roses (so it softens it up a bit)?

Here’s some inspiration I thought was beautiful:

@kiki29: Honestly, I wouldn’t try to match the purple on the dress.  That’s only going to lead to the flowers kind of blending into the background.  If you make the flowers a different shade of purple than the dress (or multiple shades of purple or a different color all together), then the flowers will really pop against the dusty plum colored background of the dresses.

I like the red/purple idea. Jewel tones look great together!
