So in a few weeks I’m having a Chat and Chew with my bridesmaids. I myself have never been a bridesmaid, so I’m not sure of what the responsibilities are for them. I’m a very organzied person, so what would be the best information to share with my girls.
Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated!

What on earth is a Chat and Chew?????????

A chat and chew is an education term…I guess my teacher is showing. A Chat and Chew is when a group of people get together to discuss something and there’s food involved.

Depends where you are in the planning process….If this is the first time you are getting together with your BMs for your “Chat and Chew” to talk about the wedding and their part in it, then I think a good starting point for topics of discussion is to talk about ideas/looks for the bridesmaid dresses that you envision. Also go over dates/times for trips to the dress stores/salons to try on desses.

Thank you. Yes, this is the first time all 5 of us will be sitting down together. However, I have a ton done. Ceremony, Reception, Save the Dates, DJ, Photographer, and my Dress.
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you planning any DIY projects? This would be a good time to share your ‘theme’ and see if any of your creative gals have any ideas for you! Also, to set up at time for a ‘wine and craft’ (*or just craft; i just love any excuse to wine!) night to get started on projects!
I second the ‘bridemaid look’ discussion and plan for a time for yall to go dress shopping together!

If you don’t have a tradition of what a “Bridesmaid” does in your group you may ask them to create the role, since none of you have a specific idea of what you’ve all agreed to. That way if they say, “It’s our job to bring you wine once a month til you’re married!” You can say, “Yes, yes it is…”
