It sounds to me that friend A is acting like an adult, you said she doesnt talk about B or her ex and has moved on. Friend B is acting like a child, a lot of breakups end with harsh words and regrets, Im sure shes been that ex girlfriend herself. If it was up to me, friend A should be in the wedding hands down, tell friend B to play nice and just not bring up the situation at all anymore. if she doesnt do that, dont involve her, she just made the decision for you

I think that this is a hard lesson for “friend B” to learn. Don’t get involved with a friend’s x-FI within months of them breaking-up- it is just asking for trouble. Friend B needs to realise that the angry words  exchanged just after breaking up (especially after 6 years), are going to be hurtful. What did Friend B expect would happen when she started dating this guy just months after they cancelled thier engagement? I think that Friend B has no right to have hurt feelings, and should consider herself lucky that friend A is being so civil.
