My bridesmaids need to order their dresses by January 15th we are supposed to order them threw the bridal store where I purchased my dress and one of them called me today and said I just want to make a suggestion…I found our same dress online for $50 cheaper…do you mind if we order them from here??? So I myself checked it out…and yes it is true they are cheaper…now the question is what do I do??? If it were a few dollars I would say no big deal but $50 is a pretty big deal! I don’t what to make the bridal store mad because my dress still needs to be altered and we are getting our tux there also…any suggestions on what I should do??? Oh and the throw a wrench in it all…the owner of the bridal store is a distant cousin of mine….

I’d let the BMs order their dresses from the cheaper place and act really annoyed with the BMs if the bridal salon says anything to you.

Did you sign anything, or get a deal on your dress that basically said you had to get the bridesmaid dresses there? When I ordered my dress, I could get 10% off that day, and 20% off if I ordered the bridesmaid dresses through them. I found the dresses online for like $50 cheaper too but my girls understand and all agreed they would get them there so we could get the discount (they got 20% off on theirs too- but was still more expensive than online). IF you don’t have to get them there, just explain to the store you found them cheaper… they might even price match to keep your business 🙂

I agree with the online route if the girls want to (sometimes having a salon measure you instead of guessing sizes can actually SAVE money on alterations, so there is that) The salon hasn’t ordered any of the gowns yet, so they won’t be out any money.
