So we’re getting married October of next year and we’ve decided on gray and orange as our colors, to go with more fall decorations. The 5 groomsman are in a charcoal gray, the Fiance is in a light gray, myself in ivory, and I’m having trouble with the 5 bridesmaids dresses….. The girls will be in different gray floor length dresses (whatever they feel comfortable in) but I’m having trouble with the color part. I keep thinking that maybe I’ll let them just pick whatever dress in a shade of gray, but then I think I want the same shade of gray….
Thanks for your help!! 🙂

@Photogcd: I’m doing different shades, for ease of dress picking, but I think that the same shade would probably be totall doable as well. Maybe talk to your maids and see what they’re thinking and if the things they like can be found in the same shade?

The only thing I’d be worried about is that some would get that dark shiny/glittery/silver gray and another would get a a really light gray in chiffon. Maybe if you told them what fabric rather than what shade.
Cause this does not look good

I think to contrast with the charcoal suits, I would consider putting them in light gray dresses. I would give them a designer/fabric and let them choose the style, this way the look stays cohesive.

There are SO many different greys that I would worry about having different colors of grey. Some will be bluish, some silver, some greenish, some brownish–all over the place, and since the men will already be in a different shade of grey than the girls, I think it will be most visually pleasing to have them all in the same fabric and color.
