Hey everyone!! I need some advice & help with a situation reguarding my girls dresses.. After shopping around at some local bridal shops I came upon the perfect dress for my ladies!! It was a little expensive so I shopped around and ended up ordering it from RK Bridal in NYC.
They have what the call a "No Frills" program where you go to your own taylor, have your measurements taken & choose your own size based on the manufacturer’s size chart. Doing it this way saved the girls $80 per dress!! So, to (what I thought) make things easier on my "crew" I (the bride) took all their measurements and placed the orders for the dresses.. I went by the size chart and picked the size that best matched their measurements.
Well, the dresses just came in and they are big.. I feel terrible!!! They have a "no return or exchange" policy.. I’m assuming that they can be taken in… But will this make their alterations super expensive? I probiable could have ordered each girl 2 sizes smaller in this dress..
Its strapless (straight across), knee length & almost a-line (its called fit & flare) its fitted to the ribcage then flaires out..
Should I offer to pay for their alterations? There are 5 girls & it would cost me alot but if its the right thing to do then so be it. I just hope the dress will look ok after the alterations are done.. Any & all thoughts are welcome..
