First of all, don’t feel guilty about your size!

Second of all, Davids Bridal seems be the best option for you girls. I would sit down with the bride and let her know your concern. Davids has SOO many color options, that I am sure she can find one she loves.

This is also why I am such a fan of letting BM’s pick their own dress in a color/length of the brides choosing. Finding one dress than all girls feel comfortable in is nearly impossible.

I would explain your concern to her.  And, don’t feel bad about yourself.  This is one thing that irritates me about weddings.  Everyone talks about the pressure to be perfect for the bride but sometimes bridesmaids are left feeling a bit down and flustered also.  So, *hugs* to you.  Keep your chin up and tell her your concern.

I would just talk to her very transparently and privately.

An option to consider – if she finds a dress she likes for the other girls in a department store, as long as you two can find a matching fabric, you can very likely have a seamstress re-create the dress in your size. I know that isn’t ideal but you may end up with an even more flattering cut. I’m having all of our bridesmaids dresses made by a seamstress, partially because they all have unique bodies (and one is going to be 8 months pregnant…).

@sarajo981:  I know, it does become very frustrating.  Just don’t rough yourself up over it.  *hugs*  I’m sure y’all will find a dress that will work OR you’ll find a way out of this situation and show up looking ultra fabulous in a dress you picked yourself (and rock it out as a wedding guest, lol).

@sarajo981:  Well, if the bride found a dress she liked a David’s she could always find a fabric the color she likes and get a seamstress to make the dresses for each of the girls. My cousin did this with her wedding. One of her BMs was a 22/24 and the others were ALL 0/2, and they had a hard time finding a dress that worked for all the girls in the right fabric and color. It ended up costing them $15 less than the best dress they could find that could *kinda* work. I’ll browse her FB and see if she has any pics up of her BMs together and ask her if I can post it here (with faces blurred, ofc).

@sarajo981:  lol, the wedding I was supposed to wear that dress in was gonna be in June.  I thought it would be too hot but it was the best option.  So she’s probably wanting short dresses?  I dunno, lol!  That sounds like a pain in the butt.  Oh, also you could check out Henkaa!!  I used those dresses in my wedding.  They’re a convertible dress (available in long and short) and everyone could wear them the same way:  http://www.henkaa.com/shop/convertible-dresses/short-dress.html

Maybe run that by her as an option since she seems kinda flaky on the colors.  All of my bridesmaids loved their dress.  My best friend, and Maid/Matron of Honor, may use them in her wedding.  *fingers crossed*  I really want to own one, lol.  The material was nice and they were flowy.  Also, there’s a ton of ways it can be worn and unlike most things I think they can be worn again.  And they come in 2 sizes kinda like a one size fits all from x size to x size and then a plus sized version too.  They come from Canada but you order online and it didn’t take long for us to get ours.  I could send you a pic of my girls in them too.  I let them wear them however they wanted but I like the mismatched (but matched lol) look.

Additionally, they now have chiffon skirts you can add and other stuff so just check out the website.  I like that they have chiffon skirts now that you can add to the look, lol.
