Aw man, sorry you’re having such a rough go.  If you’re unhappy and their unhappy AND you can cancel, I say do it.  Then pick another designer and head from there.  Have you checked out JCrew? I think they have such pretty Bridesmaid or Best Man dresss.

Sorry you are feeling so badly about this.  I was in a wedding previously as a bridesmaid, and the bride did something similar to you.  She really wanted us to be happy and didn’t care if we got different dresses.  Well, two of the girls were extremely picky and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to find ones in the same fabric/designer.  We ended up all getting the same dress because it suited all of us and was just easiest in the end (since the bride really wanted the colour to be all the same).

If I was one of the bridesmaids, I might be more frustrated with having to get another dress and possibly lose money, instead of just wearing a dress that is already picked out.  Maybe you could save money on shoes; just get them to all get a specific colour (we all wore white shoes, it looked fine)?  I guess it depends on if you can cancel and how unhappy the girls are.
