This all went down yesterday, 70 days from the wedding…
I get a call from one of my BM’s that she was at DB and the dress she was going to order won’t be in for 12 weeks. Normally I would think that they are just saying that because everything I have read says they “cushion” the delivery date (prob to exceed customer satisfaction) but this Bridesmaid or Best Man is close to 6′ tall. She needed to order the dress in extra length. EX-length Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses DO take that long because they don’t keep a lot of them stocked.
She called me asking what I wanted to do, and I was at a loss. My BM’s are all wearing different dresses but they are all long and satin. She said she would try on a few tea length dresses and send me photo’s. When I hung up I was practically in tears, I showed Fiance the dress my wedding thing with all the dresses and the tea length just wouldn’t work. When she called back I asked her to see if there are any dresses there (made of a dif fabric) that might be a little longer on her. She finally found one that would work and ordered it.
Here is my main vent, I have been asking all the BM’s to order their dresses since October. I had one Bridesmaid or Best Man that was really giving me a hard time and I basically focused on getting her to order hers in time, I didn’t really stress about this Bridesmaid or Best Man doing it. If she would have ordered the dress even a few weeks ago, it may have come in in time. She said she didn’t have the $ but posted on facebook that she bought plane tickets the a week ago…
Like I said this was just a vent and hopefully things will work out with the different fabric dress.
