I have 5 bridesmaids, all who live in differnet parts of the country, and who are from different parts of my life and don’t all know each other… One is pregnant, one just had a baby.
I want to pick a color and have them each order a dress in that same color and fabric but in whatever style they want. I want all the shades to be exact, not just ‘navy blue’ etc.
I have heard multiple bad reviews of David’s Bridal, but I am not assure what other company i can use that has locations all over the US. Has anyone had a good experience with David’s bridal? Or are there any other recommendations of places to use? I want the girls to be able to try the dresses on before ordering.

Mine are all over the country too.
I picked the Adrianna Papell lace dresses in Navy and Champagne for my Maid/Matron of Honor. They’re available at Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor and Dillard’s, there’s quite a few choices as far as styles go, all hoover around $150 and coordinate.
To give you an example of what a few look like..
Why not look at department store websites and search by designers to get ideas? I’m with you, I wasn’t thrilled with David’s Bridals colors or styles.

Most of the major designers will be stocked in salons all over the country. I was in a similar position, and ended up having my girls gets all Alfred Angelo same colour and fabric.

Thanks so much for posting this topic! I’m in the same position with my bridesmaids and I’m trying to make it easy on everyone.

I used Alfred Angelo because I’ve heard such bad things about my local DB. I liked Alfred Angelo a lot, and they have locations where all my girls live (all over the country as well!).

I used Alfred Angelo. I’ve never been to a DB though.

I’ve had good experiences with David’s Bridal. Target also carries Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses now, but I don’t think you can try them on before buying. Just find out if some of the well-known stores have locations in all 5 areas and go from there.

@Sa7208: I have also heard and had a bad experience at Davids Bridal but had an appointment with my girlfriend who is getting married this weekend and it went great. She too had girls all over the place and there was no way we could all get together. There is a Davids Bridal relatively close to all of us girls so it was honestly the only option she had. I honestly think it just depends on which store you go to.

Thanks all! I have worn Alfred Angelo as a bridesmaid before, and it was a good experience… Unfortunately, they don’t have stores near where all my girls live.
thanks for the advice on department stores! I had no idea Macy’s and Nordstroms carried bridesmaids dresses! do they change the styleS in stock frequentLy? I’m afraid that one or two girls will wait to buy and they will be gone!

We actually had a very good experience with David’s Bridal, though admittedly I was not willing to shop for my wedding dress there. My girls did a mix of in-store and online shopping, and the experiences were reportedly good across the board. That being said, you can’t expect stellar customer service (you won’t get someone waiting on you the whole time), but I think for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that’s okay. They also have a good range of sizes for pregnant or plus sized BMs.
