So I’m wondering if anyone might have any ideas when it comes to Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses for me. The colors that I have decided on for my wedding are going to be apple green along with the black & white damask pattern. A sample of what the invitations will hopefully look like i’ve included below. As well as the Maggie Sottero "Beth" wedding gown that I absolutely love!! I’m thinking of having black bridesmaid dresses with perhaps an apple green colored sash around the waist? But I’m really not sure. Any suggestions ladies?

Go for it!!! We’re doing black Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses w/ copper sashes. I found the dresses at davidsbridal.com and they were on sale. Woot Woot! Here’s the dress (with the "sash" drawn in using Paint) lol. 🙂

what about these by alfred angelo? i’m almost positive they come in different lengths (long and tea length) and different top options too (halter/strapless/etc.). i just can’t seem to find the others on the website – i have a catalog of theirs with the pictures though. if you’d like, i can check the catalog for style numbers or something.
here are two of them in action! lol.

I’m sure your girls will appreciate black dresses – totally rewearable! And then they can add the sash for the wedding to tie (ha, sorry!) things together. Sounds like a good plan!

Before I even finished your post, a black dress with an apple band popped into my mind. This might be a little shameless, but I would look up After Six 6553. That’s my Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. I didn’t go with a band, but I really love it. I saw a dark blue one w/ a baby blue band and it was really pretty.

So it might be totally over done but I love the idea of a black dress with green shoes to pop it.

Thanks for the great ideas ladies!
I had a look at the After Six Bridesmaid or Best Man dress style 6553, (thanks Miss Cherry Limeade) and I love it! I’m unable to copy and paste the pictures from the site to show everyone, though i did find a very similar dress to show you. I think the black dress with the “apple slice” sash looks amazing! I actually found quite a few styles from After Six that would work. Thanks for the tip!
**Divine Miss E I copied you and used paint as well hehe**

LOVE IT!! You are doing my exact colors. I too am going with a black dress and adding a sash. I have found it difficult to find the “right” shad of green though. Instead of ordering dress shashes which in my opinion are way overpriced for what they are I am going to use a satin chair sash which I purchashed for $1 each. I’m stilling trying to figure out my invitations – I’m doing them myself and I wanted to print on black cardstock but I’m told I am unable to do that so I’m rethinking my design. I’m also planning on hanging green and white paper lanterns from the ceiling above the dance floor to add an extra splash of color. Good luck with the planning.

Sooo cute! If you are open to it, you should have your girls wear different black dresses with the apple green sash! Soo cute! I love the print, when I get married I want to have the black and white with an orchid purple color.
You should try White House Black Market!

@ CarlaO: Hi sorry for such a late reply, but I don’t check this site anymore all that much. My colors have changed now, but at the time I actually purchased the invitation sample from Etsy, a shop called Decadent Designs. http://www.decadentdesigns.etsy.com
