Well, this question can be tricky because it’s totally different for different social circles.

I voted $120-$140 because I know that for my friends and I, we would not spend more than that on a dress we WANTED to buy, so for a dress we might HAVE to buy and not particularly care for (but will wear with a smile for our bride :D) it would make us cringe to have to go over.

That being said, if the bridesmaid dress is really pretty and all the girls really love it, $175 is not too bad at all!

I think anything under $200 is reasonable but I wanted my dresses to be as cheap as possible without looking cheap.  I did a lot of searching online for coupons and sales.  My girls ended up paying $120-$130 a piece for Alfred Sung dresses online.  I was nervous about ordering online but the store has good reviews so fingers crossed!

@kenya.latham.1:  Only your specific group of bridesmaids can really answer that. Mine were willing to pay up to $250 for their dresses. That narrowed it down kinda easy for me bc I had liked some Lazaro and Jim Hjelm bm dresses but they were above their comfortable range.

My girls paid $210. I wasn’t happy with this, I didn’t want them spending that much money but they knew I loved the dresses.  They all told me they could afford it and I told them I would cover any of the money if any of them couldn’t. I can’t wait to see the dresses on them!

Mine were £145 each ($230) but I paid as I’m from the UK

My girls paid $196 for their dresses. I didn’t want them to have to pay so much, but they insisted that they loved the dress so I went with it! They are gorgeous, too!

Last year I was a bridesmaid and paid about $200 after alterations. I didn’t mind at all.

@kenya.latham.1:  they either got measured or measured themselves.  weddington way has a good video on how to measure yourself properly.
