Ok so I went dress shopping with my bridesmaids. They tried on a variety of dresses in all different styles at David’s Bridal. I told them to go for it – they don’t need the same styles. I actually like the mismatch look.
They all love the same dress & look great in it! I like the dress well enough but I am kind of disappointed that they are all going to be in the same dress. Should I just let it go and let them get the dress they all like so much? Or should I go shopping with my Maid/Matron of Honor a few more times for more options?

I think that if you really like the mismatch look then make sure they know you do! and that you would like them to pick our their afvorite one! but if they are all liking the same dress and all want that then i think that maybe you should just go with that.
But just remember that it is YOUR wedding and if it comes down to you wanting different dresses, then maybe you should pick out a different one for each girl and tell them thats what you want them to wear.

I don’t have any advice, but I think it’s hillarious that you have the opposite problem of so many brides whose bridesmaids want different dresses when they’re supposed to pick just one. Sorry – I’m not laughing, really. I would let them get the dress they love.

I would let them know that you prefer the mismatch look but I think the bridesmaids should be able to choose the dresses that they feel best in. If they are happy with the dresses and you think they look good I would leave it at that.

Hey why don’t you ask them all to wear their hair different, or gift them all a different piece of statement jewellery? You can make their bouquets different also and just use the dress as your canvas?
What is the dress if you don’t mind me asking? YOu could have different coloured wraps or little jackets. The main thing is they feel comfortable – cos if they don’t then it will show in all your pics!

Wow, I’m really curious which dress they like 🙂 My girls ended up in three different dresses!

I agree with mrsgtobee. There are other ways to mismatch. How about shoes? Are you letting them pick their own shoes?

@rachelss: I KNOW! It is actually quite amusing.
My fiance laughed at me. He said that beforehand I came off so easy like oh everyone should pick what they like. But now I am being difficult.
@Melly8: I completely agree. I want them to be comfortable too. I think that was what attracted me to letting them pick their own styles and then I just got attached to the mismatched look.
@mrsgtobee: LOVE IT! I will definitely have to do that. Makes me feel a lot better actually. Thanks.
It is strange too because they are all SO different – I have bridesmaids who are skinny with flat chests, plus size bridesmaids, curvy, you name it I got it. How did they all agree? !!!
The dress is here and it would be in horizon. It has really cute pockets too. I like it a lot.
