The first thing you need to do is ask each person individually what their budget for the dress is.  I would also probably ask each person what style(s) would be a definite no for them.  Then figure out a date to go shopping and who can come, can come.  Then I would pick out 3 dresses from your shopping trip and either have them all vote on one and the majority wins, or let them pick from the 3.

Or if you want to be really lax about it, you could give them a color, length, and fabric and let them purchase whatever dress they want wherever they want.

I’m trying to organize all my girls to come but they know the approximate idea of a dress i would love to see on them. honestly, for me, as long as it’s the same color and long, they can all wear different dresses. .

I work at a bridal shop and work with many bridesmaids, I usually recommend just bringing one or two bridesmaids with you (ideally the ones who maybe harder to dress or please like if you have someone who is plus size).

It is hard to make a group of girls with differing opinions in a dress shop decide on something. Tell your dress consultant what you are looking for and what body types you are dressing and they can at least point you in the right direction.

You can include the out of town girls via text or facetime so they know what is being tried on and ultimately what you decide. If you have a VERY opinionated group of girls make sure to let them know what styles you like as a bride but of course take their budget and feelings into consideration.

I have 4 girls and I’ve set up a time with them in January. Three of them are pretty far out of town (4+ hours) and all seem eager to come and try to find a dress. 🙂

lilo73016:  I first went and looked at colors, so I could narrow down the designer and see what style of dresses would be available in that color. After searching for a perfect blue color, I ended up going with Mediterranean Blue by Alfred Angelo. From there, I decided that long would look great, and in chiffon. Style didn’t matter, as I always knew that I would let them pick out their own style as long as it was long, chiffon and in that color.

Once the salon that I was going to order from was decided on (I searched around town for the best price), I went with my now-SIL to try on dresses, so she could find a style that flattered her. My sister (MOH), lives out of town and just went a local salon that carried the designer to try on dresses. She brought 2 friends with her to help her decide on the style. Once she figure dthat out, she let me know.

I then had my sister email me the order sheet so that I could bring that in to the salon to add to the other order, as they wouldn’t order until they were both in.
