I was in my cousin’s wedding last November and we got our dresses from David’s Bridal. The experience was actually fun. On one of the dresses the zipper broke (like when it gets off track) and all 4 of us were in the dressing room laughing histerically because we thought I was stuck. We fixed it and all was good. We found a dress we all liked, ordered it, and it came in a few months later. One thing I will mention though, make sure your girls check the dress before they take it home!! My cousin’s Maid/Matron of Honor was given my dress and I was given hers…they were different sizes. Here I was thinking I gained weight and that I was going to be miserable in this tight dress, only to look at hers the morning of the wedding and realize they gave us the wrong dresses. Thank god she didn’t have it taken in!!

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

@IzzyBear:  i’m so glad you had a good experience, because ours was HEINOUS. maybe since lulume is from Canada, she’ll have an experience similar to yours.

We actually went twice for my bridesmaids. The first time was a scouting mission – to try on as many styles as possible, so when my two out-of-town bridesmaids came in to town we would have it narrowed down to just a few styles. It went something like this:

Visit 1: Showed up, had my name wrong, signed in anyway, waited for twenty minutes past our scheduled appointment, so we started pulling dresses to save time. Consultant finally comes over (at 12:30 for a 12:00 appointment), tells use we aren’t allowed to pull dresses but she’ll allow us to hang on to them (how nice), puts my girls in three fitting rooms. They start trying on, then another consultant comes over and starts arguing with our consultant that she needs one of our rooms. Our consultant makes one of my girls get in one of the other fitting rooms so now there are multiple people in every room. The place was NUTS. I could barely take photos because we were being jostled left and right. Also, consultants for David’s have to help multiple people at once, so I was doing all the clipping, zipping etc.

Visit 2: Showed up, signed in, waited 20 minutes while we went ahead and pulled the dresses we wanted (screw it), got a consultant. Consultant puts my SIX BRIDESMAIDS (I had mentioned in booking my appointment that I would have all my maids with me) in two fitting rooms. They start trying on. A consultant knocks on one of the doors and was literally like, “HEY, YOU CAN’T BE IN THERE, I NEED THIS ROOM,” and my girls peeked out, looking shocked, and the consultant literally put my girls, all six, in one room. It was like a clown car. This was just as crowded as the first time, consultant coming and going, people everywhere, bitching at each other, hot mess.

Based solely on the experience, we went with Alfred Angelo. Hot mess!

Good luck! Hopefully your experience will be better!!
