Since the wedding is so close, I would suggest looking at some department stores to see if they have anything close to what you originally ordered. Nordstrom’s, Macy’s J. Crew and JC Penney all have decent selection of dresses.

ugh, that really DOES suck. πŸ™  

I’d call the bride and let her know what’s going on and ask what she suggests.  She might have an alternative, since it’s NOT your fault and you did order it on time and everything.

Can you call the main office directly?  sometimes you get further calling the main office than going through their 1-800 number…

I would talk to the bride about it now, rather than 2 weeks from now if it doesn’t show. Then suggest to her your ideas of buying a dress in the same colour and see what route she would like you to take.

I’d say as the bride it would be worse to find out closer.

@Juliemd414: hmmmmm…. sometimes calling is better than emailing.  I did that with UPS when they screwed up a shipping.  It was a pain finding the number, but I managed it, lol.  I’ve also managed to find the number to local UPS and FedEx offices.

ok, so house of brides has 50 complaints on the BBB website reguarding delivery alone.. Though that may not be a lot at all because of how much buisness they do..

Did you pay for a credit card? Could always involve them if you need to..

Keep trying to call – if anything, start the call in the morning, put it on speaker and just let it sit there. I just sat on hold with a phone provider for 30 minutes this morning for work. Went about my business and left it sitting. Dreading calling back in again, as they said they’d return my call by noon and it’s now noon..
