Hello!
I have a dilemma! I’ve already picked out my bridesmaid dress, however I forgot about taking into consideration the two Jr. Bridesmaids. (and I have a flower girl too, but usually they wear something different anyways) The designer of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress does not do Jr. Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. Do I need to have them matching? Or could I do a different color?
I would appreciate any suggestions you all have! Thanks!

I think a different (complementing) color dress for the Jr. Bridesmaids sounds lovely!

@EvaBostonTerrier – Ok cool! that’s what I was hoping! My main color is deep purple. (Allure’s amethyst color) and for the secondary color I’m thinking it’s going to be a deep yellow, almost orange. But I’m not 100% sure yet. Guess it depends on what I can find for my two little ones!
Thanks!

I am having my Maid/Matron of Honor, a Jr. Bridesmaid and 2 flowergirls. The Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing a hot pink dress and the Jr. Bridesmaid or Best Man is wearing a light pink dress. The FGs and the Jr Bridesmaid or Best Man are going wear to have sashes that match the Maid/Matron of Honor too. Our colors are all different shades of pinks for everything.

@bwbBride: Oh, that’s a great idea too! That will look nice together! Maybe I can do a lighter shade of purple then…hmm….you got me thinking! Thanks! 🙂

You definitely can do the Junior BM’s dresses in a different color. It is much cuter when the Junior BM’s wear an age appropraite dress, rather than a miniature Bridesmaid or Best Man dress that is too old a style for them.

I knew it was going to be too hard to try to match the MOH’s hot pink dress and then they would clash so going with just a different shade makes them look really nice together.

I’m having my Jr Bridesmaid or Best Man wear a different dress; I was actually thinking of putting her in white/ ivory. I think it is fine to distinguish the Jr BMs from your regular BMs with different dresses.

My Jr Bridesmaid or Best Man is wearing the same color and fabric but a different dress.

@julies1949: very true, very true…especially since my BM’s dresses are strapless. That might look funny on an 9 & 11 year old. It also might be a disaster trying to keep little girls (with no boobs mind you!) from pulling up their dresses all night! ha! Thanks for your advice!

@kala_way: did you use the same designer for both dresses?

@Love-Bee-ing-a-Bride: yea, they’re both from David’s Bridal. We looked at some Jr Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses elsewhere but the one she liked best was from David’s

My JR Bridesmaid or Best Man sooo could not wear the actual Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses just how the dress is cut. My JR Bridesmaid or Best Man is wearing this.

And my bridesmaids are wearing this. Both in the Marine color though it is no longer available on their site for the Bridesmaid or Best Man thank goodness we already have all the dresses
