You could always relinquish some control. Choose a color, give each girl a paint sample card of that color and let them each choose a dress that suits them best. you can still specify length, fabric etc.

Could you possibly pick a couple styles in the exact same fabric and shade and have them try them on to see what flatters their body style most? I think either of those colors would be pretty. My best friend had this issue when doing bridesmaid dresses. They both just had completely different bodies and it was hard to find a dress that they both looked good in. She ended up getting a strapless sweetheart top, knee-length, which flared out and had a small pleat over the belly area. Both bridesmaids looked great in it. I’d just have them try some on and see what compliments them best:)

What about picking a style and then going online to buy the actual dresses? That way they can copy what they saw in the store and then it’ll be the same in the end. There’s a chance it won’t fit the same as the one in the store of course.

Are you having two bridesmaids total? I have three and I gave them a color and length and told them to pick their own dresses. They ended up all get one-shoulder dresses and I think it came out really great! I think that three is probably the minimum for the mismatch look, though.

As long as they are wearing something I suppose it will all be good 🙂

You have just enough time to order dresses in their sizes. Rarely do you buy a bridesmaids dress off the rack and just as with wedding dresses, sometimes the bigger girls have to just get a general idea of what a dress will look like before ordering her size based on measurements. Usually, something A-line looks of everyone’s body.
