So I posted awhile back about which bridesmaid dresses and colours the hive liked best. You can see that here if you are interested: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/dw-bridesmaid-dresses-help-me-decide/
We are 89 days out from flying to the wedding and have a bit of a hiccup with one dress.
2 bridesmaids chose a mint strapless lace dress and my Maid/Matron of Honor chose a one shoulder blue dress from David’s Bridal. The problem is the blue dress was never actually ordered and now would be cutting it really close with about 12 weeks until delivery (as in it may not show up before we leave for the wedding, so no time for alterations if needed.) The other two dresses were ordered two months ago and came in last week. It’s possible the dress could come in on time but I don’t think either of us want to chance it.
I won’t get into the stressful part of this but I would like to know if anyone has any idea about off the rack dresses that could compliment the mint green lace dresses pictured below nicely?
Would like to stay under $150 if possible and I’m from Ontario, Canada in case it’s an online store. It doesn’t have to be mint green but just something that would look nice with the mint green, as it’s my maid of honor’s dress.
Any suggestions would be very helpful!
For reference this was supposed to be the other dress but it won’t come in on time:

Have you called all the Davids within a decent drive to see if anyone has the size on the rack?

Can you order it with a rush on it? I think you have plenty of time to order that dress if they put a rush on it. Whose fault was it that it wasn’t ordered? If it was DB, i would insist they cover the cost of rush shipping.

DB always has stuff on the rack. The dress should be able to be mailed from any store. I found a dress on clearance for my flower girl. The only sizes available were to big so they called around. We found the dress in texas. I paid cash for it over the phone. Free shipping and it came in like a week and a half.
is this some special made dress or is this because you are in Canada that it takes longer?

You can buy right off the rack at any David’s Bridal. 🙂

There aren’t any dresses in the color you have there, but there are a few in colors that would look great with that mint green in Eve Mendes’ new collection for New York and Company. They’re a great price point, but I’m not sure what your colors are. Good luck!

Thank you guys!! I’ve been on the phone with a few locations within driving distance today and none of them have it in her size or even a size up. They said they couldn’t ship from store to store though even if they could, I’d have to drive to the other one. There is one more that is supposed to call me back this afternoon after they double check though, still holding out hope on that.
The other alternative that I’m waiting to hear back about is if they call the distribution centre which is somewhere in the states (PA I think?) they *may* be able to get a hold of a dress and have it sent to the store and it could arrive the first week of April. Which would be great.
I think it’s just because I’m in Canada, it’s not a special made dress or anything. They told me it was a fairly popular one.
thanks! Those are some really nice options and they ship to Canada now!I’m going to show these to my Maid/Matron of Honor.
unfortunately it wasn’t DB’s fault this time…my Maid/Matron of Honor totally had a brain spaz and forgot to order it…

can they ship it to a store in buffalo and drive down to pick it up? or they have those services that will ship things to Canada for you.

if they cant get it from the warehouse they can check other stores for the one you want. Then you can pay for it over the phone and that store will ship it to you for $15. I used to work there and did that at least once a week. PM me if you have questions about any if this, I’ve run into many people that have been told something can’t be done when it certainly can be.
