Have you considered checking out department stores and other clothing retailers?  Like J. Crew or Ann Taylor?  You could always order a sample of dresses and then return them if they don’t work.

janedw:   What is the budget? Long or short? color? Look at evening gowns/formal dresses, any department store will carry these… Macy’s, Nordstrom…

janedw:  Jcrew is great, particularly because there are SOOO many of their bridesmaid dresses available on eBay at any given time. So whether you’re picking all the same dress or just a specific color – if any BMs are strapped for cash, have them check ebay!
