Ooooo I definitely love the gowns! I don’t think it would be weird to have your Maid/Matron of Honor in a different color… if you wanted to be slightly more subtle, can the sash color be changed? Maybe the bm’s have the plum dress with black and the Maid/Matron of Honor has the plum dress with a gray sash?

Great idea. My girls are all wearing grey but my Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing a darker shade and a longer dress

@Future-Mrs.C:   It was my mums idea. I`m having a coloured dress myself so, not a lot of other colors I could use. I’m looking for more of a silvery tone though but, when I went dress shopping with them my sister chose a dress by a different designer to the others so, the dress doesn’t come in the same colors so, we r having them in different shades and my Maid/Matron of Honor is having a longer dress in a more of a charcoal shade.I know they will look great together.

David’s Bridal has a “Dress Your Wedding Option”  if you go down to the bottom of the page there is a list of links.  In the second column is the dress your wedding option.  You can create an image with you, your bridesmaids, groom, etc and your bridesmaid dress is one of the available options.  You should be able to add a few bridesmaids in plum and your Maid/Matron of Honor in Charcoal to get pretty good idea of how it will look.  I love the colors together.

personally, i think that having one or two or half in half of the bms in the other wedding colour ends up coming off as too matchy matchy. I would instead maybe put all the other bms in the solid plum dress and the moh in a plum dress with a charcoal sash?
